Back in 1996 when I was a young boy, Looney toons, Tom & Jerry and other cartoons offered well orchestrated music… the modern day of Gen Z cartoons I have not been impressed at all with the simple pentatonic based music in almost every cartoon my children consume on a daily basis.
This ended when my 5 year old daughter put on a Netflix series titled, “ Masha and the bear”.
I am so consumed and in awe of the music orchestrated and created by Russian composer, Vasily Bogatyrev. His variety and used of both classical and jazz has intrigued me and giving me hope that our little Gen Alphas will thrive.
Check out Masha and the bear…
